The Blues Brothers (Universal, 1980). Very Fine- on Linen. British Quad (30" X 40").
One of the most expensive comedies ever made at the time, largely due to its record-breaking number of car crashes (over 100 vehicles were destroyed during filming). The production reportedly used 13 different Bluesmobiles, each customized for specific stunts. Filming in Chicago caused real traffic chaos, with some scenes requiring entire sections of the city to be shut down. The film features performances by Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, James Brown, Cab Calloway, and John Lee Hooker and despite mixed early reviews, the film became a major hit, grossing over $115 million worldwide. Backed to linen, this wonderful Quad poster had light fold wear, small edge splits and a few minute chips. Additionally, there has been airbrushing to some portions of the poster. The poster presents wonderfully and no doubt, Elwood would approve.
