The Green Hornet (Universal, 1940). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. One Sheet (27.5" X 41").
A brilliant serial, this one sheet for The Green Hornet promotes Universal's thirteen-chapter adventure based on the immensely popular radio show, in which crusading publisher Britt Reid dons his masked disguise as the Green Hornet to battle underworld racketeers alongside his skilled assistant Kato. Bursting with bold, full-color imagery that conveys the pulp excitement of crime-fighting adventure, this poster is far rarer than the individual duotone chapter sheets and stands as an essential prize for any serious serial collector. Most of the borders have been airbrushed and touchup has been applied primarily to the interior folds to address edge and fold wear, pinholes and pinhole chips/tears, creases, minor misfolds, tears/splits, and slight chips further corrected by replacement. Some flaws remain lightly visible. Additionally, there is some post-restoration staining along the linen borders.
