Thunderball (United Artists, 1965). Three Sheet (41" X 83.5") Frank McCarthy and Robert McGinnis Artwork.
Among the most popular films in the 007 series, this adventure happens to be Sean Connery's favorite performance as Bond. Artist Robert McGinnis began a fruitful creative partnership with Frank McCarthy on this marketing campaign, and this McGinnis-designed poster displays all of the great Bond trademarks, with the film's underwater twist. Similar to the one sheet, but much grander in size and harder to find, this is an excellent piece of memorabilia from one of the greatest action series ever. Signs of use include pinholes and tape stains in the borders, slight corner creases, and unobtrusive stains and smudges. There is some surface paper loss in the words "Look Down," a tear in the left border into the background, and a tear with a tape stain at the bottom of the upper panel in Connery's image.
