Description
E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial (Universal, 1982). Rolled, Very Fine+. One Sheet (26.75" X 40.5") Bicycle Style.Directed by Steven Spielberg and produced by Universal Pictures, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial was a landmark production that blended heartfelt storytelling with groundbreaking special effects and animatronics to bring its gentle alien protagonist to life. The film follows young Elliott (Henry Thomas), who discovers and befriends a stranded extraterrestrial he names "E.T.," forming a profound emotional bond as he helps his new friend elude government agents and return home. Widely acclaimed for its emotional depth, themes of friendship and acceptance, and John Williams' iconic score, E.T. remains one of Spielberg's most beloved and culturally enduring films. This alternate poster, issued after the movie's box office success, showcases one of cinema's most unforgettable images: Elliott flying across the moonlit sky with E.T. in his bike's basket, a moment that beautifully captures the film's spirit of wonder. Scarcer than the original one sheet, largely due to the fact that the poster was reportedly created not for theatrical use, but to be given to the cast and crew of the film as well as studio employees, this charming design is a favorite among collectors. This particular example shows only light creases, minute edge and corner wear, and a few tiny tears along the borders.
