Not of This Earth (Allied Artists, 1957). Folded, Very Fine. One Sheet (27" X 41").
Paul Johnson, an alien from the planet Davanna, arrives on Earth disguised as a human to harvest blood from humans, seeking a cure for his species' deadly disease caused by nuclear fallout. His strange behavior raises suspicions, and a nurse and a doctor uncover his true identity, leading to a tense confrontation. The film reflects 1950s anxieties about nuclear technology and its unintended consequences, using low-budget effects and atmosphere to create a suspenseful exploration of "the other" infiltrating everyday life. It also highlights Roger Corman's skill in crafting tension and horror within tight budgetary constraints. Folded as issued, the poster exhibits tears in the upper corners resulting from it being stapled to a wall and torn down (which sounds more violent than they appear), as well as some border bends and fold junction separation. It presents well as is, and could look immaculate with a simple linenbacking.
