Description
Storm Over Mont Blanc & The White Ecstacy (Aafa-Film, 1930-31). Very Fine-. German Photo Lobby Cards (2) (9.25" X 12").Offered here are two original release photo lobby cards for Leni Riefenstahl mountaineering films. Including one depicting Riefenstahl and Friedrich Kayßler from Storm Over Mont Blanc and a shot of Riefenstahl, Rudi Matt, and Hannes Schneider (signed by Riefenstahl) from The White Ecstasy. Storm Over Mont Blanc and The White Ecstasy are alpine adventure films showcasing climbers and skiers braving the extreme beauty and dangers of the Alps. Both films emphasize daring stunts, authentic location shooting, and the exhilaration of human achievement in nature. Leni Riefenstahl, who starred in these films before her career as a director, helped popularize the "mountain film" genre, blending athletic spectacle with striking visual composition. Country-of-origin material is rare. The White Ecstasy card retains an embossed Third Reich censor stamp. The cards show edge wear, corner creasing, and pinholes. Both retain archive ink stamps on the versos.
