Description
Bonnie and Clyde (Warner Bros.-Seven Arts, 1967). Very Fine on Linen. Six Sheet (79.5" X 81").A stylish and violent retelling of the true story of Depression-era outlaws Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, directed by Arthur Penn, starring Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty, the film follows the couple's romantic crime spree across the American South. Mixing glamour, dark humor, and shocking violence, it redefined the boundaries of Hollywood filmmaking. The real Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow were notorious outlaws who roamed the American South and Midwest during the early 1930s. They led the Barrow Gang, which committed robberies, car thefts, and occasional murders during the Great Depression, though they were often more famous for their daring escapes than for major crimes. Their crime spree ended on May 23, 1934, when they were ambushed and killed in a hail of bullets by law enforcement officers in Gibsland, Louisiana. Backed to linen, this six sheet received minimal restoration for a poster of this size, with just small areas of airbrushing and touch-up at some fold lines, a small amount in the title treatment and minute areas around some edges. Additionally, there are some post-backing scuffs and blemishes.
