The Great Escape (United Artists, 1963). One Sheet (27" X 41").
This incredible John Sturges film was based on the true story of the largest escape by Allied POWs during World War II. The film features Steve McQueen at his coolest as the aptly named "Cooler King" along with James Garner (The Scrounger), Richard Attenborough (Big X), Charles Bronson and John Leyton as the two Tunnel King's, James Coburn (the Manufacturer) and Donald Pleasence as The Forger. The superb graphics are by artist Frank McCarthy. Only tiny discolorations can be detected in the top border. This poster is folded and unrestored, and not on linen. Folded, Very Fine+.
