Destry Rides Again (Universal, 1939). One Sheet (27" X 41") Style CX.
With some of the most successful against-type casting in Hollywood history, director George Marshall fashioned one of the most "adult" and watchable Westerns ever made. This great style CX one sheet has it all. James Stewart finally brandishing his gun at the end of the film, and two very different images of Marlene Dietrich. One has her as the poised, aloof, dance hall queen, and the other has her in an all out cat fight. Considered to be one of the best Westerns of Hollywood's golden age, get this rare one sheet while you can. Touchup has been applied to the folds, pinholes, mild tears, creases, and chips in the left border. There has also been touchup to the faces in the image. This poster is almost identical to the style B one sheet, however, this style CX had a change made to producer Joe Pasternak's credit, making his type font larger. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
