The beginning of the extraordinarily popular "spaghetti" western trilogy by Italian director Sergio Leone, A Fistful of Dollars was shot in Spain and set in the very wild west of the American 1800s. Each stars Clint Eastwood, and this first entry features Marianne Koch and Gian Maria Volontè. The six sheet art as seen here is arguably the single best U.S. poster design, because it combines in one perfect blend the other two best designs, the "teaser" advance one sheets. An unrestored poster that bears only multiple corner pinholes and general age and fold wear from storage as any evidence of ever being used for any purpose, which likely precludes display for theatrical purposes as these multi-panel large format posters are meant to be pasted up on outdoor displays, with subsequent posters pasted right over.
