Description

Gone with the Wind (MGM, R-1954). Fine on Linen. French Grande (46.25" X 62.75") Roger Soubie Artwork.
Gone with the Wind, one of the landmark historical romances, unfolds during the American Civil War and Reconstruction, tracing the turbulent journey of Scarlett O'Hara as she grapples with love, loss, and the collapse of the Old South. Adapted from Margaret Mitchell's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, the film features indelible performances by Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable, and it became one of the most commercially successful and influential films in cinematic history. This breathtaking reissue French grande captures the film's sweeping emotional scale through Roger Soubie artwork, with Rhett and Scarlett dramatically posed against a fiery, war-torn backdrop that mirrors the story's blend of personal passion and societal upheaval. Airbrushing throughout and touchup primarily along the folds has addressed edge and fold wear, creases, fold/crossfold separation, some tears, and chips/chipping along the edges and folds that are being further corrected by replacement. Some flaws may remain lightly visible.
