Description

Creature from the Black Lagoon (Universal International, 1954). One Sheet (27" X 41") Albert Kallis Artwork.
This film has such wide appeal that even the great Ingmar Bergman is said to have adored it, watching the movie every year on his birthday! Posters from the picture are equally loved, and creature-feature buffs will not be disappointed with this well preserved one sheet. Richard Carlson and Julia Adams star in this timeless Universal horror tale of an expedition to the dark waters of the Amazon; an expedition which uncovers the existence of a half-human, half-amphibian Gill Man. Since the initial release of this film, the Creature has become one of the most popular monsters in the Universal stable, rivaling such horror icons as Dracula, Frankenstein, and the Wolf Man. The talented Albert Kallis designed this piece, which has benefited from touchup to the folds, pinholes in the background, and small chips in the borders and folds. There were some tears from the center folds. The upper border was once slightly trimmed, but has been skillfully replaced, and all of the borders have been neatly airbrushed. Fine+ on Linen.
