The Traveling Salesman (Paramount, 1921). Folded, Very Fine+. Swedish One Sheet (23" X 35").
Fatty Arbuckle had just signed a million-dollar contract with Paramount, and producer Adolph Zukor was putting him in picture after picture, trying to get his money's worth. In this adaptation of a stage play by James Forbes, he plays the titular salesman, tricked into getting off at the wrong stop in the pouring rain. The house he breaks into to get out of the rain is owned by Betty Ross Clarke, and when he later tries to pay her for the damage, he finds himself in love for the first time. This Swedish stone litho one sheet has only light edge and fold wear.
