Godzilla by Enzo Nistri (Paramount, c.1990s). Very Fine/Near Mint. Signed Original Gouache Artwork on Paper (9" X 12.75").
For Japan's major entry to the "monsters created by atomic radiation" of the 1950s cinema, Godzilla became their preeminent contribution. When the studio released the film in Italy, the studio turned to Enzo Nistri to create the poster art. This is a recreation done by the artist for the finished poster submitted by the artist, depicting Godzilla stomping around a burning Tokyo in the background. Nistri has signed it on the bottom left and his name also appears on the back. This illustration is in wonderful shape with only a few soft surface scuffs. There is a protective vellum sheet attached to the verso that wraps around to the front.
