Invasion of the Body Snatchers (Allied Artists, 1956). Fine on Linen. Three Sheet (41" X 80").
This classic science fiction thriller follows small-town doctor Miles Bennell (Kevin McCarthy) as he discovers that his neighbors are being replaced by emotionless duplicates grown from alien pods. As paranoia spreads, Miles races to warn the world before the invasion is complete. Combining Cold War anxieties with chilling suspense, the film serves as both a gripping horror story and a subtle allegory about conformity and loss of individuality. Its stark black-and-white cinematography and relentless tension have made it one of the most enduring and influential sci-fi films of its era. Backed to linen, restoration has addressed splits and chips along some fold lines and a small amount in the borders. Portions of the yellow background areas and borders have been airbrushed. Additionally, the linen has been trimmed to the borders.
