Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (Universal International, 1948). Insert (14" X 36").
Abbott and Costello are at it again, this time with the likes of Bela Lugosi, Lon Chaney Jr, and Glenn Strange in tow for a riotous mashup of horror and humor. The first of its kind, Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein created a whole new lineup of Universal creature-comedy crossover films, following up with such titles as Abbott and Costello Meet the Killer, Boris Karloff, Abbott and Costello Meet the Invisible Man, and Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy. One of the best posters produced for the film, this colorful insert has undergone restoration to address pinholes in the borders, a small tear in the bottom right border, an extra vertical crease, and there has been touchup to the folds. The upper border has been replaced. Still visible issues include a small pen mark in the bottom left corner, mild edge fold splits at the top horizontal fold, some horizontal creasing, and staining and smudging towards the bottom of the poster.
