Offered for the first time at Heritage, this eye-popping piece of graphic design bears the signature of one of its artists: Keith Haring. Created to advertise a charity benefit party for the UNICEF African Emergency Relief Fund during the devastating famine in Ethiopia, the poster brings together some of the biggest names in pop art culture. A collaboration of different styles as well as different artists, the poster features umbrellas from Andy Warhol, bold lines of rain by Roy Lichtenstein, Keith Haring's dancing figures, Jean Michel Basquiat's political homophones, and Yoko Ono's wandering footprints. It is boldly signed by Haring in the left border with black felt tip marker. It has very few indications of handling aside from soft creases and a couple of minute stains. There are some pieces of paper and cellophane tape on the verso with slight paper lifts, but none of this shows through to the front or obstructs the poster's fantastic image.
