White Zombie (United Artists, R-1938). Folded, Fine/Very Fine. One Sheet (27" X 41").
Horror icon Bela Lugosi terrorizes a young couple with voodoo magic and mind control in this Haiti-set Universal classic. Rife with menace and foreboding, this was the first movie to use zombies as a subject. An original release one sheet on the film has never emerged, to our knowledge. Based on the only available image - a black-and-white representation in the pressbook, that poster had an identical image to the one offered here. Folded as issued, there is an ink stamp on the verso that bleeds through to the front, separation along the folds, spot paper loss a the folds and fold junctions, edge wear, a chip in right border, smudging, and edge wear. A simple linen-backing would readily correct these flaws. The color remains vibrant.
