Description

You Only Live Twice (United Artists, 1967). Rolled, Very Fine. Subway (45" X 59.5") Style A, Frank McCarthy and Robert McGinnis Artwork.
This thrilling fifth entry in the James Bond series sees Sean Connery as Agent 007 traveling to Japan after a series of mysterious spacecraft disappearances. It is there that Bond finally comes face to face with his arch nemesis, Ernst Blofeld (Donald Pleasence), who aims to escalate the Cold War into a fully fledged World War III. You Only Live Twice was expected to be Sean Connery's final turn as Ian Fleming's iconic secret agent, but after George Lazenby's "one and done" turn as the suave super spy with 1969's On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Connery was eventually coaxed back with a higher salary in Diamonds Are Forever. This glorious subway poster features the famous shot of Connery walking upside down - the "Volcano" style, and the immense sets and special action scenes that would help make the series a staple within the annals of film history. In overall great condition, the poster does display minor wear, including light edge and handling wear, pinholes, a few small tears and chips predominantly along the borders, mostly soft creases, unobtrusive smudges, minute paper lifts, or tiny stains around the pinholes. From The Estate of Russell Clarke Urich III.
