This remarkable offering marks only the second time Heritage has presented the complete A1-sized set of original German Deko posters, among the rarest and most striking Star Wars promotional displays ever produced. Designed for theater lobbies, these posters could be exhibited individually or joined together to form a dramatic large-scale composition. The captivating artwork and design are by Siegfried Groß, who later contributed to promotional materials for The Empire Strikes Back and Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure. Printed by the renowned Atelier Degen in Stuttgart, each poster showcases the exceptional craftsmanship of German cinema advertising from the era. The set's flexibility is part of its charm; an included layout sheet (missing the top panel) illustrates the various configurations in which the posters could be arranged, offering collectors multiple ways to display the ensemble. Also included are two additional horizontal-format posters depicting starships orbiting the gas giant Bespin, further enriching this extraordinary group. While showing light, expected signs of handling from past display, including paper lifts, small chips, and unobtrusive tape stain, the posters present beautifully overall, especially when assembled as intended, creating a vivid, cohesive image of the Star Wars universe. For collectors, this complete A1 set represents an exceptionally scarce and visually impressive artifact from the original trilogy's international promotional campaign.
