Description

You Only Live Twice (United Artists, 1967). Rolled, Very Fine-. British Quad (31" X 41") Style C, Frank McCarthy and Robert McGinnis Artwork.
James Bond travels to Japan to investigate why a series of aircrafts have suddenly disappeared, in Sean Connery's final turn at playing Agent 007 in the 1960s, as the role would be taken over by George Lazenby in On Her Majesty's Secret Service, although Connery would soon return to the role in Diamonds Are Forever. Some might be surprised that children's author Roald Dahl penned the screenplay for this film, but it was one of his few screenplay efforts as he rose to prominence with such beloved novels as James and the Giant Peach, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Fantastic Mr. Fox. In fact, You Only Live Twice was not the only Ian Fleming novel he adapted; the following year he wrote the screenplay for Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Offered here is the perennial favorite Style C British quad, depicting Bond amongst a group of Japanese bathing beauties. This country-of-origin poster shows only minor signs of wear, including small tears, mild creases, and some graphite writing in the lower right corner.
