Two-Lane Blacktop (Universal, 1971). Poster (40" X 60").
This top cult movie had so much going for it when first released, it went over the heads of a lot of the critics, and even seasoned studio executives. Lew Wasserman wailed "what the...??", at the first studio screening and when the film opened in NYC on a 4th of July weekend there wasn't a single newspaper ad promoting it! Fortunately, the viewing public was a lot hipper. They're still taking to this excellent "road movie" with a great storyline, creative directing, and some very interesting and inventive casting. That's "Sweet Baby James" featured twice on the poster, along with the drummer for The Beach Boys, Dennis Wilson, and one of the finest character actors ever to come out of Hollywood, Warren Oates. There is only some light edge wear, and small tears in the left and bottom border and the top left corner. Rolled, Very Fine.
