Smilin' Through (MGM, 1932). One Sheet (27" X 41").
MGM dusted off their old story and script for Smilin' Through that had been lensed once before in 1922 with Norma Talmadge in the lead and brought it up to date for their current leading lady, Norma Shearer. Shearer was a natural to portray the dual role and would shine in this and other MGM romantic dramas. Leslie Howard and Fredric March as her two love interests were at their prime and the entire production would be a typical MGM lavishly created film. Posters for this title are extremely rare and very rarely turn up. This particular one sheet has never been offered by Heritage before. The poster has had extensive restoration to tears, fold wear and chips out of the borders in the form of airbrushing to the background, title and within the images of both stars. Good+ on Linen.
