Down to Earth (Columbia, 1952). Italian 4 - Foglio (55" X 78").
Rita Hayworth stars as Terpsichore, the Greek Goddess of Dance, in this lavish Technicolor musical. Observing that a Broadway production is making fun of the Greek gods, Hayworth comes down to earth in human form to make things right. This was a semi-sequel to Columbia's Here Comes Mr. Jordan, with many of the same characters from that film appearing here. Posters from this film are all quite beautiful, and this large format Italian foglio is no exception. Anselmo Ballester provided the heavenly image of Hayworth, enhanced by still-vibrant colors and excellent condition. Touchup was applied to the folds and small tears in the borders. A light stain can be detected in the left border. This is the first time Heritage has offered this lovely piece. Very Fine on Linen.
