Description
My Favorite Wife (RKO, 1947). First Post-War Release French Grande (46" X 63.5").Irene Dunne and Cary Grant star in this comedy about a woman who was shipwrecked for seven years, is rescued and returns home on the same day her husband marries another woman. More complications arise when it turns out the original wife was shipwrecked with another man (Randolph Scott) for those seven years. Grant is torn between two beauties on this bright French Grande, a first time offer from Heritage. Known for his bold use of color and energetic compositions, French illustrator Roger Jacquier, aka "Rojac" (1913-1997), can be credited here. We've not seen much paper for this film, and Rojac's version is by far the best looking piece to surface. In nearly perfect condition, the poster has had touchup to the folds and an enlarged pinhole in the bottom left. Very Fine+ on Linen.
