Description

Liston vs. Clay (20th Century Fox, 1964). Poster (40" X 60").
Cassius Clay, the brash, loud-mouthed "Louisville Lip," not only claimed he would beat Sonny Liston for the title, but also knock him out by the eighth round. Not many people gave the 7-to-1 odds underdog Clay a chance, but he proved them wrong and a legend was born. This poster is for the theater-released, filmed replay of the fight. The poster has staple holes in the background, stains in the borders and foxing along the top, and a small hole in the lower right corner. Rolled, Fine+.
