The cold and calculating performances of Fred MacMurray and Barbara Stanwyck in this sensational film noir shocked audiences of the era and are still powerful when viewed today. A pair of cool customers, the pair instantly fall in love and plot the perfect murder to cash in on an expensive insurance policy taken out on Stanwyck's husband. They would have gotten away with it if not for the persistence of investigator Edward G. Robinson (in one of his most memorable roles). In one of the greatest combinations of talent in film history, the screenplay was adapted by Billy Wilder and Raymond Chandler from James M. Cain's story. Paper from this iconic film will always be highly desired by top collectors, and this gorgeous one sheet is in excellent condition. It has been professionally restored to address pinholes in the corners, and a small tear in the title. Very Fine- on Linen.
