Description

World War I Propaganda (W.F. Powers Litho Co., c.1918). Rolled, Fine/Very Fine. War Bond Poster (27" X 41") "Lend the Way They Fight," Edmund M. Ashe Artwork. War.
Featuring artwork by Edmund Ashe, known for his time as an artist-correspondent for New York World and New-York Tribune during President William McKinley's and President Theodore Roosevelt's terms in the Oval Office, this beautiful stone litho poster, Ashe's only known illustration for a war poster, encourages United States citizens to purchase war bonds and support the soldiers overseas. The poster shows light edge wear, chips and tears, creases, faint dust shadows, or unobtrusive smudges or stains.
