Mr. Moto Early Typescript (MGM, 1935). Fine. Manuscript (196 Pages, 8.5" X 11"). Mystery.
Offered in this lot is a typed manuscript of J.P. Marquand's first book in his Mr. Moto series No Hero printed by the MGM Script Department. MGM acquired the rights to this book the year it was originally published, but 20th Century Fox would go on to develop the crime novel series into their Mr. Moto films with Peter Lorre two years later, beginning with Marquand's third Mr. Moto book of the same name Think Fast, Mr. Moto. An unrestored manuscript with good color and an overall very presentable appearance. It may have tears, chips, edge and spine wear, spine separations, edge toning, slight cover paper loss, and minor creases. The front cover has completely separated from the rest of the manuscript, and the back cover has a 3.75" X 5.5" piece missing in the lower left corner.
