Description
The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (Metro, 1921). Six Sheet (81" X 81"). Rudolph Valentino remained an extra for seven years before he landed his first starring role in this breakthrough film. Wallace Beery had a very minor role but was still paid more than Valentino. That, of course, would soon change with Valentino's ascent to the world's most famous wooer of women. Here he plays a carefree artist reluctant to go to war, until the conflict is brought to his doorstep. The tango sequence made him a star and the film the highest-grossing silent film -- the equivalent of $300 million today. This beautiful stone litho six sheet, with our favorite lothario, has undergone professional restoration to repair cross-fold separation across the poster and tears and paper loss in the lower-right quadrant, with airbrushed borders to correct edge wear and staining.
