Creature From the Black Lagoon (Universal International, 1954). Insert (14" X 36"). The last and one of the greatest entries into the pantheon of Universal Horror Monsters was the Creature from the Black Lagoon. Released in 1954 the film took advantage of the 3D craze that began the prior year, but the only poster to use that information was the window card (which came in both 2D and 3D versions). This insert, with artwork by Reynold Brown, depicts the Gillman attacking Julia Adams. The poster has several sets of staple marks in the borders, a slight stain in the lower border and a small chip out of the center vignette. There is also a repaired tear in the lower right border.
