Description

Hot Rod Rumble (Allied Artists, 1957). Half Sheets (2) (22" X 28"). In a rough and tumble hot rod club, new member Arnie (Richard Hartunian) doesn't fit in with the rest of the group. Soon he is caught in a case of mistaken identity involving a high speed crash that marks him as a target for the group's wrath. The first of these two pieces is well-preserved, unfaded and largely unscathed. There is some wrinkling, one small tear and some slight corner crimping, along with some minor toning, primarily in the upper right hand corner. This piece on its own would rank in Very Fine+ condition. The second print is slightly more worn. Its overall toning and minor stains are apparent next to the near-white borders of its companion and there is more edge wear and more widespread wrinkling. There is also more chipping and tears in this piece. The overall image on the second sheet is largely in great shape, though, and its street brawl aesthetic can't be beat. These prints are both rolled. Very Fine.
