Il Disprezzo (Les Mepris) (Cocinor, 1963). Italian Poster (55" x 79"). French cult director Jean-Luc Godard made this masterpiece starring Brigitte Bardot as a discontented wife who feels her husband is compromising his talents in order to sell his work to a greedy U.S. producer (Jack Palance). There is some foldline wear with a touch more at the crossfolds, one 4" tear on Bardot's throat, a few small holes and several light scuffs. The poster was professionally restored, rendering these defects hard to detect. This has to be one of the most gorgeous Bardot images ever produced. Very Fine- on Linen.
