Description

Thunderball (United Artists, 1965). Rolled, Very Fine+. Aston Martin Promotional British Double Crown (20" X 30"). By the time Thunderball hit theaters, James Bond was renowned for his cutting-edge gadgets and vehicles, epitomizing the ultimate super-spy arsenal. In this iconic scene, Sean Connery, as Bond, stows his jetpack in the boot and prepares to speed off in the legendary Aston Martin DB5. Equipped with machine guns and a rear steel panel shield to protect against gunfire, the DB5 became a symbol of sophistication and ingenuity. The DB5, a British luxury grand tourer (GT), was crafted by the Italian coachbuilder Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera. Released in 1963 as an evolution of the DB4, it remains one of the most celebrated cars in automotive history. This exceedingly rare British double crown poster is a country-of-origin piece and a promotional tie-in celebrating this iconic British car. This poster is exceptionally clean and in unused condition, with only minor signs of age and handling. It comes with a letter of authenticity from an Aston Martin dealership in Dorset, enhancing its collectability and provenance.
