Description
Two on a Guillotine (Warner Bros., 1965). Very Fine. Framed Vacuum Formed Lobby Display (60" X 23" X 6").Connie Stevens is bequeathed the estate of a recently deceased crazed magician (Cesar Romero). Before she can inherit, however, she must spend seven nights in his haunted mansion and is ignorant of him murdering his wife (her birth mother, also portrayed by Stevens) by guillotine during a performance gone wrong. Connie's new lover, a news journalist played by Dean Jones, offers protection during her stay when he learns the magician's ghostly spirit may return. The two experience a series of demons, monsters, and menacing shadows in the vein of gag-worthy Castle films that mean to destroy her. Full of campy twists and turns, she must be careful not to lose her head in the end! Rarely do we see oversized 3-D lobby displays such at this effective example for Two on a Guillotine. Featuring the psychotic magician Duquesne on paper suspended over a 3-D beheaded Cassie, this display shows light wear to the background image including a few small creases, scuffs, and pinholes. The 3-D figure contains a small crack within its bloody neck, and scuffing to her nose.
