Around the 1910s, French visual artist Léon Gabriel L. Coulet created this exquisite stock stone lithograph for the Salle de l'Étoile (The Hall of Stars) in Saint-Étienne, just a few hours south of Paris. One can imagine the performances this magnificent theater poster might have heralded - perhaps a traveling shadow puppet show, a mime troupe, or a renowned magic act, culminating in an evening cinema screening. Grand in scale and captivating in design, this piece would make a striking addition to any collector's wall, film room, theater, or restaurant. Preserved on linen, only minor flaws are displayed including slight edge wear, some creases, minor smudges, a couple of light stains, and faint image ghosting.
