Catherine the Great by Vincent Korda (London Film, 1933). Fine/Very Fine. Original British Mixed Media Set Rendering on Illustration Board (12" X 9").
A talented art director that won an Oscar for his efforts on 1940's The Thief of Bagdad, Vincent Korda often worked on films with his brothers Alexander and Zoltan Korda, as is the case with this historical drama starring Douglas Fairbanks Jr. and Elisabeth Bergner. Making its first appearance at Heritage, this set rendering by Vincent Korda has such signs of wear present as slight edge wear, minor tears and chips, mostly unobtrusive staining, as well as smudging, which most likely occurred during the creation process. There are notations at the top and bottom on the front, in addition to some notations on the verso. The verso also has some adhesive remnants.
