Description
She Wore a Yellow Ribbon (RKO, 1949). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. French Grande (45.5" X 60") Roger Soubie Artwork. The second installment in John Ford's renowned "Cavalry Trilogy," She Wore a Yellow Ribbon stands out as the only entry in the series filmed in glorious Technicolor. In this sweeping Western epic, John Wayne delivers a memorable performance as a battle-hardened Army captain on the brink of retirement, tasked with averting a potential Native American uprising. The film features a stellar supporting cast of Ford regulars, including John Agar, Ben Johnson, Harry Carey Jr., and Victor McLaglen, all contributing to its enduring legacy. Heritage is proud to offer, for just the third time, this dynamic French Grande poster by acclaimed artist Roger Soubie. A stunning example of postwar French film artistry, the poster has undergone expert restoration and is display-ready. Conservation efforts included touchup to fold lines, repair to a small chip above Wayne's hat, and mending of pinholes and minor border tears. A light stain is present along the left edge, and subtle speckling can be seen in the title area, but overall, the piece retains exceptional visual appeal.
