Description

Grinning Guns (Universal, 1927). Very Fine- on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41").
Jack Hoxie is "Grinner" Martin, a war veteran-turned-newspaper-editor in a small town plagued by a crew of bandits, He's able to expose the ruffians one by one, including the leader, who sets the newspaper office on fire. Hoxie would eventually tire of Hollywood and leave acting to tour with various Wild West shows, as well as pursue a ranching life. A dramatic scene from the film fills this stone litho one sheet, which returns to Heritage once again. The borders show small chips and tears, slight creases, and minute surface scuffs. Touchup has been applied to a chip in the lower crossfold. From the Dwight Manley Collection.
