Victor Fleming's epic tale of life in the South before and after the Civil War features Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh in unforgettable roles, with likewise strong performances from Hattie McDaniel, Leslie Howard, and Olivia DeHavilland. A classic among classics, the film went on to win Oscars for Best Picture, Actress, Director, Screenplay, and Supporting Actress, among others. The poster has been signed at the top and bottom by the following cast members in black marker: Evelyn Keyes ("Suellen O'Hara"), Rand Brooks ("Charles Hamilton"), Ann Rutherford ("Careen O'Hara"), and Patrick Curtis ("Melanie's Baby"). Backed to linen, the poster received touchup and airbrushing to the borders, folds, and splits and chipping along the fold lines and edges. There were tears in the title treatment and billing block. It would be impossible to obtain the same group of signatures today, making this an impressive and exclusive display for the dramatic masterpiece.
