Description
The Adventures of Robin Hood (Warner Brothers, 1945). First Post-War Release Italian Foglio (27.25" X 39.5"). Artwork by Luigi Martinati. An undisputed classic ranking at the top of the best movie lists for eighty years, Errol Flynn's landmark performance as the Prince of Thieves cemented his place as one of the reigning kings of epic adventure, defining his career more so than any other role before or since. A grand swashbuckler told through the glory of three-strip Technicolor, this unforgettable film possesses a perfect blend of adventure, romance, humor, suspense, and drama that has become the stuff of movie legend. The excellent performances of Olivia de Havilland as the radiant Maid Marian, Basil Rathbone as the aristocratic Sir Guy of Gisbourne, and Claude Rains as the conniving Prince John further bolster this already impressive production, and perfectly compliment Flynn's swaggering take on the famous thief. Never before sold by Heritage, we are thrilled to present this Italian original release foglio featuring brilliant artwork by the talented Luigi Martinati, a rare opportunity for true fans of the genre. Noticeable restoration has been applied to chips and tears in the borders, some into the background, as well as tears in the image and title. Very Good/Fine on Linen.
