Peter Pan (RKO, 1953). Very Fine+. Original Poster Concept Art (9.5" X 13.25") Giuliano Nistri Artwork.
Using elements from the original U.S. one sheet to create his own image, Giuliano Nistri illustrates J. M. Barrie's famous Peter Pan for this piece of colorful concept art. The picture differs from Disney's American poster mostly in its map of Never-Never Land rather than picturing the rooftops of London, a design choice the studio would bring back for the film's 1970s reissue poster. Nistri worked on numerous movie illustrations throughout his extensive career, including Le Mepris, Famous Love Affairs, Son of Godzilla, My Fair Lady, Black Sunday, and many more. This lovely piece of artwork has been signed by Nistri at the bottom showing only very little edge wear or smudging. Minor surface rippling due to the paint.
