Staten Island-born cowboy star Neal Hart, in spite of being almost entirely forgotten to film fans in the passing of time, had one of the most extensive careers of any actor who successfully made the transition from the early silent era to well into the talkies, in some 151 short and feature films. The lively action artwork by Roberty for this French release perfectly embodies the studio's original American publicity tagline, "A thrilling drama of the west filled with thrills and sensational action" which, of course, was likely promised for any number of similar western shorts of the time. Prior to restoration, the poster showed fold wear with some paper loss in the folds. Sensitive retouching, including some use of airbrushing, has admirably refreshed this 100+ year old, richly colored stone-lithograph.
