Blonde Venus (Paramount, 1932). Linen Finish Jumbo Lobby Card (14" X 17").
Josef von Sternberg directs his muse Marlene Dietrich in this top-notch drama, in which she performs some of her best remembered numbers, including "Hot Voodoo." Cabaret singer Dietrich, in desperation to help her husband (Herbert Marshall) pay for a needed medical procedure and to support their son, turns to wealthy playboy Cary Grant. Of course, circumstances take a turn when her infidelity comes to light. Making it's first ever appearance on the auction block, this rare linen finish jumbo lobby card features an excellent image of Gene Morgan and the ever illustrious Dietrich. Being made of a more fragile paper, few linen finish cards survive for this long, with this one showing edge wear, surface scuffs, and creases. There is some wear at the corners and a minor chip in the bottom right corner. Fine/Very Fine.
