Miracle in Milan (ENIC, 1951). Italian 4 - Fogli (55" X 77.5) Ercole Brini Artwork.
Director Vittorio De Sica decided to take a break from the more dramatic films he had been making, Shoeshine (1946) and Bicycle Thieves (1948), with this delightful look at a poor orphan who leads the growing homeless population of Milan to a more hopeful outlook on life. De Sica used special effects wizard Ned Mann (who had worked on The Ghost Goes West, Things to Come and The Man Who Could Work Miracles) for the fantastical elements of the story. This is a first time offer for Heritage of this extremely rare country-of-origin poster. There has been touchup to the folds which has addressed small chips in the upper section. Light toning on the folds is still apparent. There is a snipe in the lower right credits below Vittorio De Sica. Beautiful artwork by famed Italian artist Ercole Brini. Very Fine on Linen.
