The summer of 1980 started well enough for the small group of camp counselors working to reopen Camp Crystal Lake, but their fate was soon to take a stark turn for the gruesome, or so goes the plot of the original Friday the 13th. Cementing various horror tropes including the concept of the "final girl," Friday the 13th proved to be a seminal piece within the slasher subgenre, and even introduced audiences to the then relatively unknown Kevin Bacon. The popularity of the film speaks for itself, seeing as its title is synonymous with superstition as well as the fact that it has spawned several sequels, crossovers, and at least one remake. Offered here is the rare transit one sheet for the film. Benefitting from expert restoration, edge wear, slight tears, scuffs, small chips, and a minor area of paper loss within the upper left black background have been corrected and the poster now displays beautifully.
