Legendary dance duo Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers reunite for their second on-screen pairing in The Gay Divorcee (1934), following their breakout success in Flying Down to Rio. This stylish musical comedy helped cement their status as Hollywood's premier dance team, featuring dazzling choreography, witty banter, and unforgettable musical numbers. The film earned four Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Art Direction, and Best Song. It ultimately won the first-ever Academy Award for Best Song with "The Continental", a lavish and extended dance sequence that set a new standard for musical productions. This card, offered for just the third time at Heritage Auctions, has foxing at the top and bottom edges and a touch of airbrushing.
