The Gay Divorcee (RKO, 1935). Folded, Very Fine. Swedish One Sheet (27.5" X 39.25").
This charming poster from Sweden is making its first appearance at Heritage and retains the brightness of its stone litho printing. Based off of a popular Broadway show starring Fred Astaire in his last stage role, The Gay Divorcee was the second of Astaire and Ginger Rogers' ten movies together and was a hit at the box office. It was also nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Art Direction, and Best Music. It would win for Best Song, "The Continental," the first picture to do so. This stone litho poster has light edge and fold wear, slight fold separations, very minor tears, and a misfold on the lower right horizontal fold.
