One of the most everlasting classics from Walt Disney Studios, 1959's Sleeping Beauty celebrated internationally for its enchanting artistry and memorable storytelling. Based on Charles Perrault's fairy tale of the same name, the film follows Princess Aurora, cursed by the wicked sorceress Maleficent to fall into a deep sleep on her sixteenth birthday, only to be awakened by true love's kiss from Prince Phillip. An innovative production for Disney, it was the studio's first feature to use the Super Technirama 70 widescreen format and the last to use hand-inked cells, showcasing a distinctive medieval-inspired visual style. The thrilling battle between Phillip and Maleficent in her fearsome dragon form remains one of Disney's most iconic sequences, and paired with Tchaikovsky's beautiful music adapted from his ballet, the film continues to captivate generations with its tale of love, courage, and magic. Here, Heritage is excited to offer for only the third time in our history this scarce Polish poster created for the film's first release in Poland in 1962, making it a rare collectible for Disney enthusiasts. Unrestored, it features only minor edge wear, slight corner wear and creases, as well as a few moderately noticeable tears along the borders.
