Oliver & Company (Buena Vista, 1988). Very Fine. Framed Comparative Size Sheet (20.5" X 59.25").
This framed comparative size sheet from Disney's Oliver & Company is a production reference tool used by animators to maintain consistent proportions between characters throughout the film. Comparative size sheets were essential in traditional animation, ensuring that characters like the street-smart Dodger (Billy Joel), the pampered Jenny (Natalie Gregory), and the villainous Dobermans Roscoe (Taurean Blacque) and Desoto (Carl Weintraub) always appeared correctly scaled in relation to one another. The film itself, a modern retelling of Dickens' Oliver Twist, follows a lost kitten named Oliver (Joey Lawrence) who joins a gang of city dogs, blending heart, humor, and music against the backdrop of 1980s New York City. A few imperfections appear visible, such as creases, light smudges and scuffs, and a couple of unobtrusive stains. Unexamined out of frame.
